About the Exam

Complete overview and introduction

The CAT (Common Admission Test) is India’s premier national-level management entrance exam, conducted annually for admission to top MBA and PG Management programs, including the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and over a thousand other reputed business schools. In a two-hour online format, it assesses candidates across three rigorous sections — Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA) — each testing your critical reading, analytical thinking and numerical problem-solving skills. A strong CAT score opens doors to the country’s most sought after management institutes and significantly sets you on the path toward a rewarding leadership career.
