About (NLSAT) Exam

The 3-year LLB (Hons.) is a full-time residential program that will admit 60+students in the Academic Year 2024

 

Admission will be on the basis of the All-India National entrance test. Please note - Admission to the LL.B (Hons.) program will be through a national-level entrance examination process.

Expected Dates - 2024

  • The exam will be an offline paper-based examination
  • The duration of the Exam is 02 hours 30 Minutes.
  • Expected in April 2023

Pattern of Exam - Part A

• 75 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions)

• There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

• There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each un-attempted question.

Applicants will be tested on the following in the Objective Test:

• English comprehension (25 marks)

• Current Affairs (25 marks)

• Critical Reasoning (including logical reasoning and legal aptitude) (25 marks)

Pattern of Exam - Part B

65 Marks (subjective test)

• There is no negative marking

Applicants will be tested on the following in the Subjective Test:

• Legal Aptitude/Reasoning (50 marks): Legal aptitude will consist of problem-based questions to which short answers will be sought. This section will have 10 questions of 5 marks each.

• Current Affairs (15 marks): Current affairs shall consist of one essay of no more than 500 words. Applicants will be tested on their knowledge of the issue, the ability to make cogent written arguments, and write a well-structured essay. Knowledge of the law is not expected.
